Matches which could determine Wrexham’s promotion fate in League Two this season

Wrexham’s key fixtures for the upcoming League Two season include ties with former National League rivals Notts County as well as Salford City.

The Red Dragon’s chances of back-to-back promotions after returning to the Football League could well be dependant on their contests against the other clubs who are aiming for automatic promotion.

As well as Notts County and Salford, Stockport, Gillingham and Bradford among others have all been tipped to finish around the top of the 24-team league alongside Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s outfit.

Daily Star Sport have taken a look at where Phil Parkinson’s men will take on their fellow promotion chasers – including a mouth-watering opening day.

Salford City

Salford come in at eighth favourites for promotion having lost to Stockport in the play-off semi-finals last time out.

Co-owner Gary Neville will be keeping a close eye on proceedings in his own bid to oversee a promotion to League One after some agonising near-misses.
