Home and Away confirms cult story involving Andrew

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away launches a new cult storyline on UK screens next week, as the truth about Andrew Lawrence’s past is finally revealed.

Justin Morgan and policeman Cash Newman team up to uncover information on Andrew’s origins, following the revelation that he was reported missing when he was just four years old.

Andrew was taken captive by his father Archie, who has since passed away. The death of Archie explains why Andrew was left to fend for himself until he was rescued by Justin a few weeks ago.

Cash hopes for further answers when he brings Andrew in for an interview.

Andrew struggles with the pressure of being in a police station and undergoing questioning, so he lashes out.

Feeling helpless, Justin explains to Theo Poulos that he’d like to track down Andrew’s mother in the hope of securing the explanations they need.

Meanwhile, Andrew continues to settle into Summer Bay life and particularly enjoys spending time on the beach.

Leah seems to have a calming effect on Andrew and she helps to extract more of the memories that he has been blocking out.

Justin and his partner Leah Patterson do some research into the group. Some disturbing newspaper articles offer hints to the horrors that Andrew must have faced when he and his dad were following the cult’s strict rules.

Justin and Leah start to doubt whether they have what it takes to guide Andrew through this trauma. The couple have been trying their best to help the teen since inviting him to move in, but they’re now starting to feel out of their depth.

Alf Stewart steps in and reminds them that they have plenty of experts and friends on hand, so they won’t be facing this challenge alone.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
